About this tool
This kids growth tool helps parents compare a child’s measurements with World Health Organization (WHO) growth standards for children from birth to 5 years. Enter a child’s birth date, sex, height, and weight to view estimated growth percentiles.
WHO data used
This tool uses World Health Organization (WHO) child growth standard data for weight-for-age, length/height-for-age, and body mass index-for-age (BMI-for-age).
For children under 2 years, the tool uses length-based reference data. For children aged 2 years and older, it uses height-based reference data.
How percentiles work
A percentile shows how a child compares with other children of the same age and sex in the WHO reference data. For example, a height percentile of 55 means the child is taller than about 55% of children in the same reference group.
